Margaret B. ‘Bonnie’ Shook, 91 of Sidney, passed away Monday afternoon, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in Sidney.

Graveside services were held in the Olinger-Highland Cemetery in Thorton, Colo.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service was in charge of Bonnie’s care and local arrangements.

Margaret Bonita “Bonnie” Shook, the daughter of Paul R. and Della (Bushong) Clark, was born on June 8, 1921, at Bluffton, Ohio. She attended the Bluffton Schools and graduated from Bluffton High School. On March 9, 1941, Bonnie was united in marriage to Wade Arthur Shook at Bluffton.

Following the end of World War II, the family moved to Ann Arbor, Mich., before settling in Hastings, Mich. Bonnie served as Choir Director and subbed in as organist and pianist for the United Methodist Church in Hastings for 30 years. She moved to Sidney in 2011.

Survivors include four children, Karen Kay Babcock of Kent, Ohio, Lana Patricia Cook of Nashville, Mich., Roger Kevin Shook and wife Paulette of Sidney and Tod Jeffrey Shook and wife Ninaellen of Longmont, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family members.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Howard and Jim; and two sisters, Phyllis and Marjorie.
