DuPont Pioneer Grant goes to Seedlings of the Future Program

DALTON – The Leyton Public Schools Foundation is pleased to announce they are the recipients of a $5,000 DuPont Pioneer Grant toward its “Seedlings of the Future” scholarship Program.

“In order to feed and produce the fuel and fiber needed for a dramatically growing global population, we need young people who are passionate about the agriculture industry,” said Steve Reno, Pioneer Western business director. “We are very proud to support this local scholarship program that will help make the dreams of students pursuing an ag or science related career come true. We applaud sales representative Ted Watchorn and the Leyton Public Schools Foundation for their its vision to make this scholarship program a reality.”

“On behalf of Leyton Public Schools Foundation, I would like to thank Pioneer for its generous support of our young students. This scholarship grant will enable several individuals to pursue their interests in the agricultural and science fields. Again, we are forever grateful for choosing us to receive these funds to help our future leaders successfully leap into these next steps of their lives,” said Ted Watchorn, foundation board member and Pioneer local representative.

Pioneer makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees. Consideration for community outreach grants are given to communities where Pioneer representatives, employees and customers live and work and that support quality-of-life initiatives to create an improved, sustainable lifestyle for people worldwide.
