Christopher Adams

Christopher S. Adams, 47, of Kearney, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home. A memorial service will be 10:30 AM, Friday at O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney. Chaplain Steve Shanno will officiate.

Interment will be held at a later date. A time of visiting with family will be 5-7pm, Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. On-line condolences may be shared at osrfh.com.

He was born November 14, 1965 in Sidney, NE to Delmar and Sheila (Wheelock) Adams. He grew up in Sidney and graduated from high school there. He was married to Caroline Theis in Kearney on April 10, 1999. He was a trucker for Brown Transfer in Kearney. Previously he had worked for Harris Teeter Grocery Warehouse in Greensboro, NC.

He was a member of the APA Pool League. He loved to fish and the time spent with family.

Survivors include his wife of Kearney, daughters, Lindsay (Mario) Casillas of Pheonix, AZ, Krista Meyers of Hastings, Shelby (Cameron) Yeager of Kearney, sons, Derek of Omaha and Nathan of Sidney, mother and stepfather, Sheila and Roger Conley of Sidney, 6 grandchildren, brothers, Chauncey (Michelle) Adams of Sidney, Chad Adams of Lead, SD, Cameron Adams of Gibbon and sister, Crystal Adams of Lead, SD and mother-in-law, Jeanne Theis of Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Cassandra Brunick.
