Nebraska Food Cooperative planning local deliveries, pickups

Are you a parent who wants healthy food for your children? Are you concerned that school lunches aren’t providing the best nutrition?

Or are you a health-conscious adult who loves living in western Nebraska, but you feel like you’re missing out on all of the local food options that people living in Lincoln and Omaha enjoy?

The coop is in the planning stages of making Nebraska-grown food deliveries and pickups in the Sidney area.

Caryl Guisinger, the general manager of the Nebraska Food Cooperative, will discuss how to make these “local food” connections at an NFC informational meeting on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 4:45-6 p.m. at the Shelter House in Legion Park, 2301 Legion Park Road, Sidney. Find out how you can source food and produce from Nebraska small businesses and family farms.
