14 local students receive Chadron State honors

Fourteen students with local ties were named to the president's or dean's list for the 2015 fall semester at Chadron State College.

Students who were named to the president's list include Barrett Browne, Kelsey Carwin, Natausha Holtz and Andrew Phelps of Sidney, and Katherine Ashmore and Jillian Kepler of Chappell.

The president's list requires a student to have a 4.0 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester. There were 258 students named to the president's list this semester.

Students who were named to the dean's list include Derek Phelps and Leah Uhlir of Sidney, Donica Enevoldsen, Talia Enevoldsen and Alyssa Sanders of Potter, Dane McConnell of Lodgepole, Justin Mohr of Dix and Garrett Westman of Gurley.

The dean's list requires a student to have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester. There were 387 students named to the dean's list this semester.
