Wheat Belt Public Power District pays 2015 gross revenue tax

Wheat Belt Public Power District has paid its annual gross revenue tax. The total amount paid of $181,282.33 is five percent (5 percent) of the gross revenue of $3,625,646.51.

The five percent (5 percent) gross revenue is based on the sales of electricity within the incorporated city or village in which Wheat Belt has a service area.

All payments, which are based on retail revenue from each city and village, shall be divided and distributed by the county treasurer to that city or village, to each school district in that city or village in proportion that their respective property tax levies in the preceding year bore to the total of such levies.
