Creek Valley Community Art Night

Last Friday, April 22, the Creek Valley Art Club sponsored its first ever community art night at the high school in Chappell. The event began at 6 p.m. and lasted two hours, with more than 20 people participating in a variety of art lessons and activities led by students in the art club, including acrylic painting, watercolor painting and mixed media projects for adults, and flower pot painting for children.

Attendees paid a $10 fee to participate in the event, with funds going to the art club as well as reimbursing for the supplies that were provided free during the event.

The club is considering holding another community art night during the 2016-2017 school year, possibly in the fall, with another potentially in the spring depending on public interest.
