Dennis D. Shelley

Dennis D. Shelley, age 68 of Sidney, passed away at his home, Monday, July 11, 2016.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 22nd in the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel with Military Graveside Services to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Cremation has been held. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday to sign Dennis' register book and leave condolences for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dennis' name to the donor's choice.

Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Dennis' care and funeral arrangements.

Dennis D. Shelley, the son of Everett and Leona (Loebe) Shelley, was born on July 1, 1948 in Sidney. Following his education, Dennis served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Tombigbee and later worked for Sidney Flooring.

He was preceded in death by parents Leona (Loebe) Shelley and Everett Shelley, as well as sisters Clara Ann Glover and Connie Hunsicker and brothers John Shelley and Robert (Bobby Joe) Shelley. He is survived by sisters Pat Simpson, Gerri Banks, Judy (Jay) Kruger, Donna Rohde, Linda Brumley and Jean (Karl) Madden and brothers Dean (Mertis) Shelley and Jim (Caron) Shelley, sister in law Vicki Shelley, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
