Potter Days ready to kick off celebration

Potter Days participants have started preparing for the 2016 celebration by holding a dress rehearsal. Both Miss Potter candidates and residents performing in the Legion Show practiced Wednesday night at the Legion Hall in Potter.

Residents of all ages will be performing in the Legion Show on Saturday afternoon. This is the first year local sixth graders have been able to participate. Leif Enevoldsen, Luke Kasten, Gunnar Oleson, Jayden Shoemaker, Karter Wittrock and Zach Rotert have all prepared two skits, one skit the kids wrote themselves. There will also be a lip syncing performance.

The title for this year's Legion Show is "Battle of the Ages." Three different age groups, youth, young adults and mature adults will be competing against each other during the lip sync battle. The audience will ultimately decide who the winner is of this year's battle. There are a total of six skits for this year's performance.

Youth group all said "the old people have a good battle prepared but we believe we will win because we have more energy."
