Creek Valley Boys 2-0: Face Potter-Dix In Potter Tonight

The Creek Valley Storm are starting out the basketball season with two wins, having defeated Hyannis Dec. 1 and Maxwell Dec. 2.

Creek Valley defeated Hyannis Friday, Dec. 1. 45-18.

The first half of the game was anybody’s call with Creek Valley earning six points to Hyannis’ five. Hyannis made up the difference in the second quarter, albeit slightly, by earning four points while keeping Creek Valley off of the boards.

The half ended with Hyannis holding a narrow lead of 9-6.

The Storm scored 21 points in the third quarter and 18 in the fourth while keeping Hyannis to six in the third and three in the fourth.

The Storm returned to the court the next day at Maxwell. The Storm defeated Maxwell’s Wildcats 48-26.

Creek Valley scored 14 points in the first quarter and eight in the second for a 22-point half while keeping the Wildcats to eight in the first and three in the second for an 11-point first half. Creek Valley surged ahead in the third quarter with 20 points in the third while keeping Maxwell to one two-point field goal. The tables turned in the fourth when Creek Valley was held to six and Maxwell earned 13.

Creek Valley Storm travel to Potter-Dix today (Friday, Dec. 8) to face the Coyotes. The Coyotes will enter the game with an 0-2 record, having lost to Kimball 72-15 and Morrill 50-19 in the Kimball Tournament.
