Sircy Competes At All-State

Peetz standout Logan Sircy was selected to play in the CHSCA (Colorado High School Coaches Association) All State Basketball Games held in Alamosa, CO at Adams State University last weekend.

Sircy, who led Peetz to a CHSAA Division 1A State Championship and was named CHSAA Division 1A Player of the Year, traveled to southern Colorado to represent Peetz in the 62nd annual event.

Sircy talked about his experience at the All State Games saying, "I don't think I've ever been this far south in Colorado. It was fun to meet new people from all over, and get to hang out with people I've played against. It was a fun experience."

Sircy, who plans on attending Northeastern Junior College in Sterling CO to pursue an education degree in the Fall, played on the "Red" team during the games. In the semi-final contest, Sircy's "Red" team beat the "White" team in overtime 103-96.

"It was awesome, I mean all these guys here know how to play basketball, know how to work together, and it was really fun to play with some high-level guys," Sircy said after the contest.

The Red team next faced the Black team in the championship game, and was able to pull out the victory by a score of 100-91, and Sircy scored six points in the win.

Sircy said, "In that first game, we kind of had a lid on the basket in the first half, but in this game we really had it going on all cylinders the whole game, so it was fun-a lot of shooting, but it was fun."
