Corinna (Stumpf) Steele

Corinna Steele, age 56, passed away in Madison, Alabama on December 1st after nearly a year-long battle fighting lung cancer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Prairie West Church in Potter, NE with Pastor Warren Cico officiating. Burial will follow at Potter Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website.

Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Thursday from 1-6:00 P.M., with family present from 4-6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation or The American Cancer Society, organizations that Corinna felt strongly about. Corinna was born on September 2, 1967 to Liselotte and Waldemar Stumpf in Wiesbaden, Germany. In 1984, Corinna met Thomas Steele in Wiesbaden, Germany during his first tour with the U.S. Army. After graduating high school, she pursued her lifelong desire to become a mother and

went on to have five children: Brian, Patrick, Michelle, Courtney, and Cody.

She enjoyed gardening, card games with family and friends, long walks, traveling and

spending time with her furry friends; treating each and every one of them like one of her own

children.

Corinna was predeceased by her eldest son Brian, her father Waldemar Stumpf, her mother

Liselotte Maykowski, her stepmother Traudel, and her brothers Nobert and Reiner Stumpf.

She is survived by her husband Thomas, and their four children: Patrick, Michelle, Courtney, and

Cody.
