Delta Dawn When the Light Comes On: Week Eleven

"Therefore, Brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, that you do not stumble but enter into the abundance of the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." 2 Peter 1:9, 11

Peter would know. He had not 'caught' what Jesus taught more than once. Then, he made the mistake of denying the Lord. He had been on the mountain of transfiguration with Him and had seen a vision of His resurrection. As with so many, Peter's intelligence and experience got in the way of his call to be a fisher of men. Had he not just seen Lazarus raised from the dead? What about the young man from Nain? Not to mention the naked boy in Gethsemane's Garden.

Psalm 79:10 questions; "Why should the nations say, 'Where is your God?' Let it be made known among the nations the avenging Blood of Your Servant (Jesus), which has been shed." And, who will tell them? Me and you. We will tell them by our words and our lifestyle. We will make it plain by refusing to cower at their threats. We will stand up, speak up and vote for righteousness and justice. First Peter 2:9 reveals: "You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special (peculiar) people, that you might proclaim praises to Him who brought you out of darkness into His marvelous Light." (Emphasis added)

Millions are in the midst of prayer and fasting during this Lenten season. The timing is perfect. Faith (believing God is on the job) is NOW! Hebrews 11:1

John Hancock, and his Lieutenant Governor, Samuel Adams, called for prayer and fasting 22 times in one year as the Revolutionary war raged. Their gesture strengthened the troops, and sent a signal to the entire world that there was something very exceptional about this America. A Frenchman, Alexis deTocqueville asked, "How did the American Revolution stand so strong and resolute against the mighty forces of Great Britain when the French Revolution did not?" By the Church! In unity they declared, "No king but King Jesus!

WE are the Church, Friends. WE can agree first, with God, by prayer and fasting, which puts the Word of God into the heart. Now, WE must put in the sickle and reap His Goodness! Mark 4:24-29. Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth will boldly speak. Matthew 12:34, 35. When we think (meditate) on His Word, revelation comes. Vision is ignited. A Plan develops. WE go to it! Nations will notice.

2024 is proclaimed a year of restitution, open doors and more of God's goodness than we have ever known before. Enemies will fall, a thousand at one hand and ten thousand on the other. We will, simply, BELIEVE, then DO what the Lord says!

2 Peter 1:2-5 "His Divine Power has given to us great and precious promises, [the best reason] to add faith to virtue (manliness, heroics), by the doing of it."
