Case William Schoening was born on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. From the day he was born, he was full speed ahead and lived every day to the fullest. The best days of his life were spent with his family, whether baking with Mommy, hunting with Daddy, or farming with Grandpa. His days were full of adventure, but he loved crawling into bed to snuggle his Mommy in the mornings or curling up on the couch to read books before bedtime. His big sister Zella was his best friend, teammate, and sidekick. She was the calm to his spirit and they took on every day hand-in-hand. The two of them were inseparable and their love for each other knows no bounds.

Case was granted a short five years earthside, but made the biggest impact on everyone he met during that time. He had a contagious cheesy smile, infectious giggle, and bright blue eyes that lit up every room he entered. With his superpowers and "big strong muscles", there was nothing he couldn't do. Case never knew a stranger and made countless friends during his life. He ensured everyone knew they were loved with his big "Case hugs" and repeated "I love you's".

Case is survived by his loving parents, Brooke & Bryan, big sister Zella; grandparents Jeff & Michele Housh of Hay Springs, NE and Dan & Rose Schoening of Sidney, NE; aunt Jaycee Housh of Springfield, IL, uncle Tyler (Cassandra, Marik, Lachlan) Schoening of Grand Island, NE; bonus sister Jeanne Ceugnart of Sainghin-en-Weppes, France; and numerous great aunts, great uncles & cousins. He was welcomed into heaven by his great-grandparents Bill & Bette Housh, John & Sanda Weitzel, Vince & Shirley Schmit, and Galen & Jane Schoening; great-great grandparents Albert & Mary Lou Weitzel.

A memorial fund has been established in Case's honor. Donations can be made at Security First Bank in Sidney under "Case Schoening Memorial" or via Venmo @CaseSchoeningMemorial. Special memories or photos you have of Case may be shared at [email protected].
