“This is the largest drug bust this year for Troop E,” said Lt. Bret Friesz of the NSP in Scottsbluff. “It happened in the first 20-some days of the year.”
According to the NSP, Troop E patrol officer Robbie Jackson initialized the stop of an eastbound Toyota Camry near mile marker 29 on I-80 at 4:40 p.m. Wednesday. Trooper Bryan Woods responded to the scene as backup.
Fiore was arrested and placed in the Kimball County Jail. Staff members there said she was very cooperative and spent the night in jail. They added that she was so tiny - she’s listed as 5 feet, 3 inches tall on the Internet - they couldn’t believe was a boxer or Playboy model, information that she volunteered when she was booked.
She reportedly resides in Bayside, N.Y., but arraignment and bail forms list her address in Stanford, Conn., which is near New York City.
Fiore was the most famous person held at the jail in some time, and some jail staff members seemed to be in awe.
Kimball County Judge Randin Roland, also the Cheyenne County judge, set bond during her arraignment Thursday at $250,000. Authorities at the Kimball County Sheriff’s Office said she posted bond and was no longer in custody.
After her release, several jail workers asked for her autograph and she obliged. She is scheduled to appear in Kimball County Court on March 26 at 10 a.m.
Fiore, the mother of one daughter, captured the 2002 Golden Gloves Championship at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
She posed in 2005 for “Playboy Special Edition Xtreme No. 54” and AXL magazine. She also can be found on a female boxing Web site, King-Mag(dot)com.
