Mable B. Tegtmeier1916 to 2010

| Mable B. Tegtmeier, 93, of Kenesaw, Neb., died Sunday March 7, 2010, at Haven Home in Kenesaw. Mable was born to William and Augusta (Utecht) Nienhueser, Nov. 6, 1916, at Kenesaw. She received her gift of faith through the sacrament of Holy Baptism at Zion Lutheran Church at Wanda. She made a public confession of that faith at her confirmation on Dec. 14, 1930. She went to Hatckson Co. School to the eighth grade and then to high school in Sidney until 1935. On May 28, 1938, she married William Tegtmeier in Sidney. Her husband taught parochial school for 35 years. During this time Mable was a stay-home-mother for her daughter, Cynthia, until she started school. Mable began cooking for school lunches. She cooked for St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Kenesaw for 10 years. Then after the flood in 1967 she went to Kenesaw Public School for 25 years. She loved working with the students. She belonged to several ladies groups at the church, including a quilting group where she quilted twice a week. She enjoyed being with the various groups. Mable is survived by two brothers, Vearn and Ray Nienhueser; and three sisters, Irene Fisher, Helen Koester, and Eldora Schubarth, all of Sidney. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Tegtmeier, who died Sept.20, 1986; daughter, Cynthia Marie Tegtmeier, who died April 24,1996; and her brothers, Herbert, Victor, Clifford and Arthur Nienhueser. Services are at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kenesaw, with Rev. Pau1 Dufiy officiating. Burial will be in Zion Wanda Lutheran Cemetery in Holstein. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday at Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Lutheran Hour.
