| Sidney – Six competitors entered the Sidney Jaycees Super Shooter competition Sunday at the Cheyenne County Community Center. Shooters took shots from certain shots on the floor to earn points. “Although we did not have as big a turnout as we would have liked, the kids that showed up were great,” said Mandi Raffelson, Jaycees treasurer. “They were enthusiastic and really had a good time. The Jaycees really enjoyed watching them compete.” Jaycees members helping run the program were B.J. Raffelson, Krista Meyer, Gayle Troop, Raffelson and Klark Byrd. There were competitors in the 6- and 7-year-old group, 8- and 9-year-old group and 10- and 11-year-old group. Kyllie Scott won first in the 6- and 7-year-old class with five points. Arik Doty won the 8- and 9-year-old division with 37 points, Alec Maddox was second with 19 points, Cayden Jobman was third with 16 points and Sammy Scott was fourth with 12 points. Conner Callahan won the 10- and 11-year-old division with 22 points. Age category winners qualified to compete in the state competition in Waverly on Nov. 20.
