Storm M.S. Girls Defeat Banner County

LODGEPOLE – The Creek Valley Middle School girls basketball team defeated Banner County 48-19 Wednesday in Lodgepole.

“After a slow start in the first quarter which ended with a score of 6-5, the Lady Storm turned up the pressure in the second ad took a 22-6 lead into the half,” said Storm coach Cory Michelman. “The assault was led by Jerry Straber who had several steals which led to five layups in the first minute of the quarter. Straber ended the game3 with a team high 23 points.”

Also scoring points for the Stporm were Jillian Behrends and Hannah Schievelbein who  made   six points each, Stef Mitchell scored five points, Katie Parmenter added four points, while Brandi Collins and McKenzie Akeson scored two points each.

The Lady Storm have a 3-4 record going into the MAC tournament in Potter.

The B team dropped a 9-2 loss to end their season at 4-3. Christina Tucker scored the only basket for Creek Valley.
