As of this month, the city of Sidney will finally receive one year of advanced notification before the state takes refunds out of the city’s local sales taxes. In the past, if companies qualified for sales tax refunds on projects, they would file an application from the state. The city received no information on this. Every month retailers collect sales tax and send it to the department of revenue in Lincoln. The Sidney Police Department sorely needs a news headquarters, according to a recent feasibility study. Chief of Police B.J. The following person appeared in Cheyenne County Court on Wednesday, March 13, before the Honorable Randin Roland: Billy Martinez age 34 of Sidney, appeared for a preliminary hearing on an amended charge of Terroristic Threats. This is a class IV Felony. Pursuant to a plea agreement he pled guilty to an amended charge of Attempted Terroristic Threats and 3rd Degree Assault. Both are class I misdemeanors. Don Ogle started out in the newspaper field, working with the Pine Bluffs Post and the Sidney Sun-Telegraph before moving into public relations.
