    The City of Sidney Street Department will begin chip sealing selected roads throughout the city this week. Work will be conducted during three separate strings of days: July 15-17, July 20-24 and July 27-29. Hank Radtke, city street superintendent, said chip sealing is a maintenance program that entails spraying a layer of oil, laying down chip rock and then rolling over top of the material. “We try to get to every street every seven years,” he said.     The Potter-Dix Children's Theater will perform its annual musical this week. The production – held for the eighth consecutive year – serves as a fundraiser for the Potter-Dix Early Learning Facility. The facility includes a day care and a preschool.     Allyson Hart and Raychel Thomas are the recipients of the 2015 Cheyenne County 4-H Council scholarships of $500 each for use at their chosen university or college.     Average retail gasoline prices in Nebraska have fallen 0.5 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.66 per gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 1,150 gas outlets in Nebraska. This compares with the national average that has not moved in the last week to $2.76 per gallon, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.     GERING – The Sidney American Legion juniors had their season come to an abrupt end in Gering this weekend as they were eliminated from the District B7 Tournament after losses to Alliance and Chadron.
