    With Arbor Day just around the corner, the City of Sidney celebrated its 30th straight year as a Tree City U.S.A. community last Saturday with its annual tree giveaway at the Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp at Legion Park.     A traffic stop for improper passing on Highway 6 in Hitchcock County led to the seizure of 240.5 lbs. of marijuana and one arrest. Just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2007 Saturn Outlook for improper passing just west of Culbertson in Hitchcock County. A Red Willow County Sheriff’s canine (K9) indicated to the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. A search of the SUV led to the seizure of 240.5 lbs. of marijuana.
