    Patsy Yager, a Head Start teacher with a Master of Arts in Elementary Education, was selected the Cheyenne County Art Guild's "Artist of the Month" for December. While Yager has had very little formal training in art, she has always had a love of art and a desire to create art.     LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) – In a surprise move to perhaps everybody except the man who did the hiring, Oregon State’s Mike Riley is set to take over at Nebraska. Athletic director Shawn Eichorst ended his one-man search with the announcement today that the 61-year-old Riley would replace Bo Pelini, who was fired Sunday.   • Christmas craft show slated to benefit Sunol Community Center

    A Christmas craft show will be held at Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the upkeep of Sunol’s Community Center. “It’s a beautiful building,” event coordinator Brenda Stene said. “I want to see it kept up so citizens of this city can use it for years to come.” The event will have 15 vendors present such as Mary K make up, Freeburg Honey and Jamberry Nails.
