Alliance Arts Council presents ‘Crazy Fingers’ concert at high School

The Alliance Arts Council will sponsor a concert by Gordy “Crazyfingers” Lindquist on Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. at the Alliance High School Performing Arts Center.

A North Dakota native and music instructor at Minot State University for 34 years, Gordy started playing the piano when he was 5 years old. Lindquist has a bachelor of arts degree in music from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and a master of arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He has also done graduate work at San Jose State and at the University of California at Santa Cruz.

For more than 50 years, Lindquist has performed all over. He traveled with the Myron Floren Band to Norway and has performed with the likes of Burns, Hope, Jack Benny and Red Skelton. He has played at the Scandinavian Host Fest in Minot, N.D., for the last 25 years. Lindquist plays about 150 shows a year.

Advance tickets are available at area merchants. Adult prices are $10 and Senior/Student tickets are $9. Tickets will also be available at the door. Lindquist’s performance is co-presented by KCOW/Double Q Country Radio, Cover Jones Motor Company, Gregory’s Insurance, First National Bank, Western Nebraska Real Estate, Bank of the West and Western Heritage Credit Union.
