Team of 13 advances to April regional competition
Sidney’s Way Out West (WOW) Community Theater won not only first place in the Nebraska Association of Community Theater Competition in Minden, Neb. at the Minden Opera House this March 22, but also won Best Ensemble, Best Set Design and actress Katie Lo Re won the Outstanding Actress Award. The team is moving on to the regional competition in Fargo, N.D. this April.
The Way Out West (WOW) Community Theater brought home many first place awards aside from taking the whole show at the Nebraska Association of Community Theater Competition in Minden, Neb. at the Minden Opera House on March 22.
“They competed with theaters all across the state of Nebraska,” said Angelyn Nienhuser, the show’s producer. “There was a theater from Lincoln, one from York, the Loft Theater and one from Beatrice – to name a few.”
The 13-man team won the competition and is now moving on to the regional competition in Fargo, N.D. this April 25-28.
