Federation wrestlers return with hardware

Wrestlers and coaches of the Sidney Federation Wrestling Club proudly displayed their awards and medals received at the Rocky Mountain Nationals in Denver, the Midwest Classic Nationals Wrestling Tournament in Kearney and the Iowa Wrestling Dual.

Results of the Midwest Classic (in no particular order) were:

Drew Sykora: sixth-place in 6 and under

Chance Houser: second-place in 6 and 8 and under

Matthew Cabbage: seventh-place in 7 and under

Patrick McCartney: sixth-place in 6 and under

Colby Langley: seventh-place in 8 and under and fifth-place in 10 and under

Trey Arellano: third-place in 12 and under and second-place in 15 and under

Kaden Vowers: first-place in 15 and under

Skylar Heineman: sixth-place in 10 and under

Brody Raines: first-place in 10 and under

Keegann Mcknight: second-place in 8 and under

Kord McMillen: eighth-place in 8 and under

J.T O’Rourke: fifth-place in 10 and under

Cash Arensdorf: fifth-place in 10 and under

Michael Muggli: second-place in 15 and under

Derek Robb: first-place in 18 and under

Peyton Hill: sixth-place in 15 and under

Chase Peppers: second-place in 10 and under

Cameron Brauer: fourth-place in 8 and under

Cauy Kolh: eighth-place in 6 and under

Placers at the Rocky Mountain Nationals were:

Chance Houser: third-place in the 7-9 rookie division at 49 pounds

Cauyer Glanz: first-place in the 7-9 rookie division at 86 pounds

Cauyer Glanz: second-place in 8 and under at 87 pounds

Trey Arellano was unable to make it for the group photo.

Results of the Iowa Wrestling Dual last weekend were:

Peyton Hill received All-American Gold for going 8-0, Derek Robb and Kaden Vowers both received All-American Bronze for going 5-3, and Kade Price went 4-4.

Head coach Steven Vach said that his wrestlers were “phenomenal,” and placed third as a team in the Midwest Classic with over 400 points and only 56 falls.
