Bryon Segelke benefit this weekend

The family and friends of Bryon (Bucky) Segelke are holding a benefit dinner and auction to help defray medical expenses. Bryon is battling cancer and together we can make a difference in his life.

Bryon was raised in Peetz, Colo., and moved to Sterling to work in the drywall business with his father.

The benefit starts with a Texas Hold Um Poker tournament at the Hot Spot in Peetz starting at noon. The entry fee is $20 and to enter call the Hot Spot at 970-334-2265 or just stop in and sign up.

The free will offering dinner with start at 5 p.m. with great food being served. There will be silent action as well as a live auction starting at 7. There are many auction items being donated and here are just a few: power tools, a grill, 30 pounds of beef, a Harley Davidson pocket watch with a stand, Rockies tickets, signed athlete prints, CSU and Huskers mats, handcrafted bone handled knife, jewelry and many more items. If you would like to donate an item to auction off you can contact one on the family members or call 308-249-2864. There will also be music provided by the Don O’Mary band. Plan to attend, bid high and have fun.

A fund to help defray medical expenses has also been set up at Great Western Bank in Sidney for Bryon.

It is only by reaching out and touching the lives of others that we can know and feel the humanity in our own lives. Please come and be part of this benefit and raise some money for Bryon (Bucky).
