Stacie Lee Olson

Stacie Lee Olson, 47, of Julesburg, Colorado passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Julesburg. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 29 at the Julesburg High School Gym with Reverend Doctor Stephen Gragg officiating. Private family interment will be at the Lisco Cemetery, Lisco, Nebraska.

Stacie was born on April 14, 1966 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Douglas L. and Judy A. Heim. She was baptized on May 1, 1966 at Evangelical United Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska and was confirmed on May 4, 1980 at St. John’s Lutheran church in Norfolk, Nebraska.

She attended grade school and junior high in Norfolk, Nebraska, high school at Adams Central in Hastings, Nebraska , and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She married Thomas H. Olson Jr. on September 23, 1989 in Lincoln.

Stacie was an active volunteer of her beloved Julesburg community, Hippodrome Board, P.T.O., Boosters Club, P.E.O., United Methodist Church, Julesburg School Board, Missoula Children’s Theatre, and an Assistant volleyball Coach. However, Stacie’s true joy came from her children, her nieces and nephews and all the children in the community of Sedgwick County.

She is survived by husband Tom Olson Jr.; son Tommy Olson III and daughter Marin Olson all of Julesburg; parents Judy and Doug Heim of Omaha; father-in-law Tom Olson Sr. and wife Cynthia of Lisco; brother Buck Heim and wife Susan of Omaha; sisters-in-law Kerstin Eckstrom and husband Bill of Lincoln and Lynne Petro and husband Tim of Birmingham, Alabama; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandfather Lloyd Heim and grandmother Charlotte Moorman Heim; grandfather Clyde Edward Jeffries and grandmother Lucile Elizabeth (Adam) Jeffries.
