Sidney's Tucker Wintholz pins Luke Ferguson of Gothernburg in a 285 match.
The Red Raiders wrestling team opened the season on a high note on Friday as they toppled Gothenburg on the road in a dual meet 46-32. Sidney then traveled to Cozad on Saturday, where they finished seventh in a 13-team meet.
The match winners for Sidney at Gothenburg inlcuded Kane Taylor (195 lbs.), Tucker Wintholz (285), Ben Goble (120), Austin Storbeck (126), Zach Borges (138), Michael Muggli (145), Lukias Higer (152) and Ryan Nieto (160).
Taylor, Wintholz, Muggli and Higer all won on pins. Borges won by a major decision 11-2.
