Work slated to begin on Greenwood Rd.

A busy road construction season in Sidney will begin next week with the closure of Greenwood Rd. between Daily Dr. and Virginia Ln. This portion of Greenwood Rd. will be closed to traffic beginning Feb. 24 for replacement of the existing wooden bridge with a concrete box culvert, according to public services director John Hehnke.

This is just the start of extensive road improvement projects on Greenwood Rd. and Toledo St.

Infinity Construction will handle work on the culvert portion of the Greenwood Rd. project. This portion of Greenwood Rd. will most likely be closed into the first half of April, depending upon weather.

“Local traffic for residents living within this construction zone will be maintained at all times,” Hehnke said in a press release.

Hehnke asks that anyone with questions about the project contact him at the city offices at 254-5300 or by email at [email protected].
