Wind and the Holy Spirit

“And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. “ Acts 2:2

We in the Panhandle know about wind. In the Bible wind is a synonym for the work of the Holy Spirit. It can be gentle or life altering. In the case of that first Pentecost, it was life altering. It came like a mighty or violent wind and it changed the life of the disciples forever.

The mighty wind drives them out into the street where they begin proclaiming the Good News of the gospel.
