Divine Design - Blueprints for Daily Living

Divine Design is a theme I will be writing about all year in all my articles. God has a plan for our lives along with a blueprint for our success. As we follow God, He will direct our paths and our spiritual construction if you will to make us strong and effective in every area of our life. If our foundation is Jesus Christ, we will have a well built structure that will be eternal.

I remember one night, our family came together to view the floor plan and basic blueprints for our new home. It was exciting as we reviewed all the pages of these blueprints making sure every detail was accurate. It was the final proof of these plans so that the builder could move ahead with the actual construction of our home. I was fairly young, but there was excitement in the air as we dreamed about what our new home would look like, how long it would take to build and when will construction begin. Soon the construction adventure would begin and watching it happen was very intoxicating as well as thrilling. I even had opportunity to hammer a few nails in myself so I could say, I had a part of building the house.

Our Creator loves us very much and wants to share with us his “Divine Design” for us. The blueprints for our daily living are precise and very detailed. God does not want us to live our life haphazardly or thoughtlessly. He has a plan and a purpose for each one of us and wants us to live up to our potential! Just as every board, nail and piece of material had a right pace to go in order to complete our new home, God has every detail of our life planned and it all fits together to make us the best we can be. Our blueprint is extremely accurate and precise. All we need to do is follow His Word, the Bible.

Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Many times we need to step back and take a look at God’s blueprint for our life. He already completed his part of the plan. It’s our responsibility to get into His Word and communicate with him in prayer discovering our part. Then and only then will we discover God’s plan for our lives.

Blessings to you today as you seek the architect and God of the universe.
