The local Kiwanis club awarded $500 scholarships to two recent Sidney graduates. The winners are Amber Arellano (right), who attends Tabor College in Kansas and Jaide Wachtel, who attends University of Wyoming in Laramie. The Kiwanis club used money collected at Oktoberfest as well as from its downtown flag display contract to fund the scholarships.
