Red Raiders face must-win road game against rival Alliance

Very quietly, the Sidney High football team (5-2) will face a pressure situation tonight in Alliance. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and a berth in the state playoffs is at stake.

Sidney, which lost last week at home to Scottsbluff, is 0-1 in the district B-8 standings. Alliance is coming off a 39-21 road win against Gering and is sitting at 1-0 in the district.

The Bulldogs are 2-5, but have won two games in a row and, even in their losses, have hung close with several respectable teams.
