Chappell's Akeson to be part of 'Phantom of the Opera' at Concordia

SEWARD, Neb. – Concordia University, Nebraska will present the musical, “The Phantom of the Opera,” during November and freshman McKenzie Akeson of Chappell will be part of the ballet chorus.

“This show is a big undertaking for any theatre company, and it includes numerous technical and performance challenges along the way,” said Bryan Moore, director of theatre at Concordia. “I hope people appreciate and enjoy the choices we have made for our production. Multiple people have expressed both excitement and surprise about us producing this show, so we look forward to sharing our production with the Concordia Nebraska campus and surrounding communities.”

The shows will be held on Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 9 at 2 p.m., Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 16 at 2 p.m., all in Weller Hall auditorium. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for Concordia faculty, staff and students.
