Mary J. Brady

Mary J. Brady, 83 of Sidney, passed away at the Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care on Tues., Dec. 9, 2014. Cremation has been held, there will be no visitation, private family graveside inurnment will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to the Sidney Regional Medical Center Foundation.

Mary Joyce Brady, the daughter of James Patrick and Kathryn Susan (Smith) Fahey was born in Igloo, S.D. on Dec. 6, 1931. She graduated from Igloo high School in May 1949. Mary moved with her family to Sidney in 1952. She was employed as a Bell Systems/AT&T telephone operator for 35 years. She enjoyed her retirement caring for her grandchildren, reading, crocheting, gardening, and arguing politics.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Deborah Brauer and husband Calvin of Sidney, two brothers, John (Rich) Fahey and Peter Fahey both of Sidney, one sister, Terese Deluca and husband John of Saint Louis, Mo. and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Patrick Fahey.
