Free seminars on bariatric surgery options scheduled

SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. – Regional West Weight Loss Options will host free bariatric surgery seminars in both Scottsbluff and Alliance. Losing weight comes with multiple benefits, including reducing the risk of Type II diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, and back and joint pain.

Jeffrey Holloway, M.D. will present in Scottsbluff on Wednesday, March 11 from 6:30-8 p.m. in Regional West Medical Center’s Scotts Bluff I meeting room.

Jason LaTowsky, M.D. will present in Alliance on Wednesday, March 18 from 6:30-8 p.m. in Box Butte General Hospital’s Sandhills Room.

The surgeons will present an overview and answer questions about gastric bypass, gastric sleeve and laparoscopic (LAP band) surgery. All three procedures are available through Regional West’s Weight Loss Options program.

Weight Loss Options at Regional West Medical Center is a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, certified by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery (ASBS). The ASBS Center of Excellence designation recognizes surgical programs with a demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery.
