Stan Fox, a former Pikes Peak Marathon champion and Sidney resident, won two races recently.
Fox ran the Potter Day’s Kickoff 2K on Sept. 4 and then came back to claim first place at the Sidney Girl Scouts 5K run on Sept. 12. At the Girl Scouts race, the event took place over part of the Deadwood Trail’s new addition behind WNCC and then back to the shelter house.
“The new fitness trail is like gliding on a fast course,” said Fox.
Fox next plans to take on the Farmer’s Day 5-miler in Kimball on Sept. 26.
