Friday, Oct. 30

City sponsored Trunk or Treat at Hickory Square will be held on Friday, Oct. 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. This event is open to businesses, organizations, and individuals to participate. Contact Kim Phillips or Lori Borchert at (308) 254-5300 for more information. Participants need to prepare for approximately 300 to 500 children.

Saturday, Oct. 31

The “All About Kids” Health Adventure will be held Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Cheyenne County Community Center. The free event is open to children ages 0-18, parents and care providers. Call (308) 254-3273 for more information.

Bring your Ghost and Goblins to Golden Living Center on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Start early on filling up with goodies!

Sunday, Nov. 1

St. Patrick’s Parish Autumn Festival will be held on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. located at 1039 14th Avenue. There will be a turkey dinner, silent auction, children’s games, country store, bingo and cake walk. A raffle will be held with a grand prize of $500 cash, a leather office chair, a $250 Sonny’s Gift Cert., a Cabela’s 3-peice luggage set and a gas grill. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase. Need not be present to win. Drawings will take place at 1:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Monday, Nov. 2

Halloween Candy Buyback

2015 will be held on Monday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at LifeSmiles of Sidney, 1040 Old Post Road, (308) 254-7171. Trade your Halloween candy for Money and Fabulous prizes!!! Open to kids age 2-12. Candy must be new and in its original packaging. Pay is $1 per pound, up to five pounds. Candy will be donated to the troops through Operation Gratitude.

Monday, Nov. 2

A “Let’s Go to College” event will be held in the Sidney High School Commons on Monday, Nov. 2 from 6-7 p.m. Seniors and parents/guardians are invited to come fill out college and scholarship applications. Questions about the process of going to college will also be answered. RSVP to

Monday, Nov. 9

A meeting for honeybee producers is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. to review the Noninsured Crop Disaster Assistance Program. It’ll be held at the North Platte Natural Resource District, 100547 Airport Road, Scottsbluff. The NAP sign-up deadline for 2016 honey is Dec. 1.
