Winners in historical museum, Post Commander's home decorating contest announced

The Cheyenne County Historical Museum and Post Commander’s Home have been decorated by various groups and individuals for the Christmas season. Winners of the contest are as follows:

Museum - adult division: First place - Sidney Public Library staff, library; Second place - Threads of Friendship Quilt Guild, quilt room.

Museum - children’s division: First place: Addyson Stutzman, Emily Stutzman and Lilee Wieser, school room; Second place - St. Paul’s Lutheran Preschool, toy room.

Post Commander’s Home - adult division: First place - Goal Gainers, kitchen; Second place - Job’s Daughters, entryway.

Post Commander’s Home - children’s division: First place - Elly Weimer and DeLane Namuth, girls bedroom; Second place - Tyler McManigal, boys room.

There will also be a people’s choice award given at the end of the season. Visitors can vote for their favorite room for a donation of $1. The museum and commander’s home will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. There is no admission fee.
