Enduring Stitches will be hosting a quilt display from Monday to Thursday this week from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Friday, Dec. 11, quilts will be on display from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Quilts will also be available for purchase.

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club will have a Christmas dinner and dance at the IOOF Hall in Gering with Lucky calling. Dinner will be at 6 p.m., with dancing from 7 to 9 p.m. The club officers are bringing ham, potatoes, gravy, rolls and baked beans. Members can bring anything else-salads, side vegetables, desserts.

The Gloribells will be “Ringing in the Season” with a concert on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the First United Methodist Church of Sidney at 3 p.m.

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair will have a dance in Kimball in the old 4-H building on the fairgrounds. Roger Shappell will be the caller with Don Benish or Lucky the cuer. Dance from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a meal afterward.

The Sidney Chapter of Compassionate Friends is having its Annual Candle Lighting Service on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Church in Sidney. Please Join us for a time to remember our lost children who have gone before us.

The West/North Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 12:45 p.m. at West Auditorium. This spelling bee will decide the six finalists for the County Bee. For information call Charlotte at (308) 254-4002.
