Friday, Dec. 11

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair Square Dance Club will have a Christmas dinner and dance at the IOOF Hall in Gering with Lucky calling. Dinner will be at 6 p.m., with dancing from 7 to 9 p.m. The club officers are bringing ham, potatoes, gravy, rolls and baked beans. Members can bring anything else-salads, side vegetables, desserts.

Sunday, Dec. 13

The Gloribells will be “Ringing in the Season” with a concert on Sunday, Dec. 13, at the First United Methodist Church of Sidney at 3 p.m.

Pairs-N-Half-A-Pair will have a dance in Kimball in the old 4-H building on the fairgrounds. Roger Shappell will be the caller with Don Benish or Lucky the cuer. Dance from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a meal afterward.

The Sidney Chapter of Compassionate Friends is having its Annual Candle Lighting Service on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Church in Sidney. Please Join us for a time to remember our lost children who have gone before us.

Monday, Dec. 14

The Jr. Friends of the Library will be meeting Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 5 p.m. at the Sidney Public Library. This group welcomes youth in 7th through 12th grades with emphasis on community service. Saint Patrick’s Rummage House, at 14th and King Street, will be having their Annual Christmas Giveaway on Thursday, Dec. 17, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Clothing, shoes and miscellaneous will be available. Merry Christmas!

Ella-Mae Goranson’s 24th Annual Free Christmas Dinner will be held at the First United Methodist Church, located at 2622 11th Ave. in Sidney, on Friday, Dec. 25, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Your side dish, dessert, vegetable or salad would be appreciated.
