Creek Valley boys beat back Potter-Dix, 57-41, in conference matchup

The Creek Valley boys’ basketball team took a conference win against Potter-Dix on Friday, besting the Coyotes on a 57-41 final score.

The Storm led throughout the game, taking a 28-17 halftime lead, and extended it by a 29-24 run in the final two periods.

Creek Valley senior Colin Brott led the team in scoring with 16 points off a trio of three-point shots, three buckets and a trip to the line. Potter-Dix’s leading offensive push came from Cole Christensen, as he garnered 14 points via four field goals, a trey and one free throw.

On the other side of the ball, Creek Valley junior Brett Godfrey led with seven rebounds, three steals and three assists. For Potter-Dix it was once again Christensen in the lead with nine rebounds and three assists.

The win ups Creek Valley to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in D1-12 standings. Potter-Dix fell to 1-3 overall and is 1-1 in D2-11 standings.

Other scorers for Creek Valley were: Godfrey (15), Keith Everitt (12), Michael Rahe (5), Wyatt McMillen (3), Michael Smith (2), Gage Koenen (2) and Josh Schevelbein (2). Scorers for Potter-Dix were Kelsey Rozelle (11), Coby Hicks (6), Edward Barnes (3), Keverett Rush (3), Connor Williams (3) and Sam Bogert (2).

Potter-Dix will tip off against Leyton tomorrow at 5 p.m.
