The Sidney Sun-Telegraph offices will be closed for Christmas beginning at

5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 and will reopen on Monday, Dec. 28 at 8 a.m.

A memorial account has been set up at American National Bank (Main Bank and Drive up locations) for Tabitha Davis. Donations can be made to: “Tabitha Davis Memorial Fund” to help defray expenses and to benefit twin daughters “Emmersynne Joy & Ellyeaunnah Grace”.

Table of Grace, a ministry of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, is a mobile food pantry that distributes food at various locations throughout the area on monthly basis.

Ella-Mae Goranson’s 24th Annual Free Christmas Dinner will be held at the First United Methodist Church, located at 2622 11th Ave. in Sidney, on Friday, Dec. 25, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Your side dish, dessert, vegetable or salad would be appreciated. A Parkinson’s support group for the Western Nebraska area meets on the first Tuesday of each month, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 312 W. 16th St., Alliance. Call Dee Brauninger at (308) 763-1254 with questions or email her at [email protected].

Cancer survivor support group meets every SECOND Thursday, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Dorwart Cancer Care Center. Great topics/food/fellowship. Call Leslie at (308) 250-1113 with questions.

Saturday, Jan. 16

A benefit pancake feed and 5K for Deuel County Sheriff Deputy Mike Hutchinson will be held at the Cheyenne County Fairgrounds. The pancake feed starts at 7 a.m., followed by a 5K walk at 8 and run at 8:15. Hutchinson was shot several times and seriously injured in the line of duty.
