1925 to 2016

Cecelia (Toots) M. Michelman, 90 of Lodgepole, passed away at the Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 12, with Father Matthew Koperski officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Lodgepole. A wake service will be held 7 p.m., Friday, March 11. Both services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chappell. Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Friday from 1 to 4 p.m. to sign Cecelia's register book and drop off condolences for the family. Memorials have been designated to the Lodgepole Volunteer Fire Department and to the Sidney Regional Medical Center Extended Care.

Cecelia was born on June 6, 1925, in Sidney, to Floyd and Agnes (Koci) Treblik. She attended St. Patrick's School and later graduated from Lodgepole Public Schools. Upon graduation she worked multiple jobs, some of which include the Cheyenne County Courthouse, Cabela's, and the local café in Lodgepole. On April 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Michelman. To this union two children were born, Ronald and Teresa.

Cecelia loved being a farmer's wife. She and Robert shared a lifetime love of 58 years and were honored to serve as the Old Settler's King and Queen. She spent a lot of time cooking and baking; she was famous for her pies and kolaches. She enjoyed hosting card parties and socializing. Most of all, she loved following her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids in their school activities.

She was very active in her church and was close with her church family. She also served on the Village of Lodgepole Cemetery board.

Cecelia is survived by her two children, Son: Ronald Michelman and special friend Deb McDonald of Lodgepole, daughter: Teresa Vogt and husband Richard of Chappell, (7) grandchildren: Cori Michelman and wife Lori, Kelly Michelman and wife Misty, Curtis Michelman and fiancé Courtney Hruska, Nicole Hegel and husband Ben, Meradith Langley and husband Justin, Desteny Misegadis and husband Jerad, and Cortney Misegadis and husband Justin, (13) great-grandchildren, (2) sisters: Frances Zapp of Bridgeport, and Pat Anthofer and husband Joe of Omaha, numerous nieces and nephews and her special SRMC Extended Care roommate: Viola Christensen.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Floyd and Agnes Treblik, her husband: Robert Michelman, Brother: Lawrence Treblik and his wife Frances, brother-in-law: Bob Zapp and an infant brother and sister.
