The April meeting of the Nebraska Polio Survivors Association will be held on Sunday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at Bloomfield Forum, 98th and Nicholas, in Omaha. If you are a polio survivor or have an interest in Post Polio, please join us.

Light Memorial Presbyterian Church is having its annual Spring Rummage and Bake Sale on Saturday, April 9 from 9 to 2 p.m., at the Church, 14th and Linden Streets, in Sidney. Please use the west door on 14th Street.

WNCC’s Veterans Upward Bound Program will host a Veterans Stand Down event on Tuesday, April 12. Services provided include food, clothing, free haircuts, health screenings, employment, and housing referrals to name a few! Veterans Stand Down will begin at 10 a.m. in the Harms Advanced Technology Center located at 2620 College Park in Scottsbluff, NE. The event will conclude at 2 p.m., all veterans are welcome.

Wednesday, April 13

Cultural Expressions Event, a free community gathering, will be held on Wednesday, April 13, from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Sidney High School in the Performing Arts Center. Join SHS students & staff for the presentation of the award-winning “Orgullo” mural and first-place “Breaking Stereotypes” skit and three poems will be presented by SHS students as well. Special guest performances will include speeches, drums, and Aztec dances by Metro State University graduate students. The event is free to the community and is appropriate for people of all ages.
