Man arrested after assaulting an officer

A Denver man was arrested this week and is being charged with possession of a controlled substance and assault of an officer with a motor vehicle.

Sidney police officers arrested 35-year-old Justin Lane, on Monday after he attempted to run from law enforcment.

According to the police affidavit, on August 15 at approximately 8:03 p.m. a vehicle, driven by Lane was observed with no visible registration. The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of 18th Ave. and Fourth Street.
