Frances M. Dalton - Obituary

Frances M. Dalton, age 86 of Denver, CO and former Sidney, NE resident passed away at The Gardens at St. Elizabeth in Denver, Friday, September 23, 2016.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday morning, September 30th in the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Jim Heithoff officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances name to the church or the Dorwart Cancer Care Center in Sidney. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Service, LLC is in charge of Frances’ care and funeral arrangements.

Frances Marguerite Dalton, the daughter of Morris E. and Ruby (Adams) Monfort, was born on February 19, 1930 at Eureka, KS. On July 8, 1951 she was united in marriage to Paul R. Dalton at Clayton, NM. They lived on the Dalton family farm near Potter for more than forty years. Following Paul’s death in 1990 she moved to Sidney. In 2013 Frances moved to Denver to be near her daughter Nancy.

Frances was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her children: Daniel Dalton and wife Liisa of Rock Springs, WY, William Dalton and wife Lynda of Abingdon, VA, Nancy Reeder and husband Rich of Arvada, CO, Kathy Surber and husband Larry of Gurley; brother: Richard Monfort and wife Carol of Kansas; sister: Pat Bell and husband Wes of Brush, CO; (6) grandchildren and (3) great-grandchildren.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Paul.
