Ben Arthur King

Ben Arthur King, of Centennial, Colorado died on November 13, 2016. Born September 29, 1935, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Arlington Albert “Ben” King and Elizabeth Chapin King.

He was raised in Sidney, Nebraska where he graduated from high school. He received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and went on to accounting and managerial service with Woodward Governor in Ft. Collins and Rockford, Illinois. Later he became the owner of Vienna Cleaners in Denver and Aurora.

Ben was predeceased by his wife, Carole Steele King, and his son, David King. He is survived by his daughter from his first marriage, Diane Harmes, and by Carole’s daughters, Stephanie Ives Nelson and Cathy Ives Laymon and by her son, Gary Ives. Ben also has a sister, Joan Russell, and brother, Jack King, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service is being held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at the Holly Hills Bible Church, 2400 S. Holly Street, Denver, Colorado, preceded by a private burial service under the direction of Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary and Cemetery.
