Luella Lorene Kaus - Obituary

Luella Lorene Kaus, passed away on December 22, 2016. She was born October 24, 1923, to Emil and Elsie Shellenberg Marx near Dalton, Nebraska. Luella attended Dalton public school. She was a telephone operator at Bell Telephone until she married Anton “Tony” Kaus, January 11, 1946, in Sidney Nebraska. The Kaus’ built, owned and operated the Triangle Motel east of Sidney until 1981, when they retired. Anton “Tony” passed away in 1985. Luella moved to Sterling, CO in 2011, and then to St. George, UT in 2015.

She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Doyle and son-in-law Rich Doyle of St. George, UT; grandson Michael (Laura) Doyle of Highlands Ranch, CO. Scott (Marnie) Doyle of Berthoud, CO; and granddaughter Nichole (Kris) Kovel of Colorado Springs, CO; and great-grandchildren: Alexandra, Andrew, Chloe, Mikayla, Emilyn Doyle, Neviana & Karson Kovel.

Luella was preceded in death by: her parents; husband Anton Kaus; brothers: Howard, Herbert, Ervin, and Orvil; sisters Velma Welton, Alice Conklin Schlueter, Shirleen Dillehay Stang, Elvera Zalesky Hutchison, and Myrna Maxine Marx.

Services were held in St. George, UT. Interment will take place at GreenWood Cemetery in Sidney, NE.
