Pat Wilson - Obituary

Pat Wilson, 76 of Sidney, Nebraska died early Monday morning, February 20, 2017 at Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Holechek Funeral Home in Sidney with the family present. Cremation will follow with inurnment to be held at a later date.

Memorials have been established for the family.

Patricia Ann Fischer was born in Sidney, Nebraska to Ervin and Irene (Nienhueser) Fischer in June of 1940. She attended Sidney Schools and graduated in 1958. She then went to work for Bell T & T and was a telephone operator for many years. She also worked for her folk’s in their custom drapery business.

In 1974 she was married to Eldon G. Wilson of Wheatland, Wyoming and a son, Michael was born in 1975. She and Eldon celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary last July.

Her love of flowers and crafts led her to buy Glassburn’s Floral and later moved downtown and renamed the business The Flower Corner and Gift Shop. She was a member of the downtown business community for many years. Later she helped her husband in their plumbing and heating business until they retired.

Pat was dedicated to her family Elson, Michael and grandchildren. She also cared for her parents in their golden years. Pat helped at the local flower businesses when they needed her special touch with arrangements.

Pat was active with crafts and craft shows and will be remembered for creating beautiful handmade angels. Her health declined in recent years due to kidney failure.

She was preceded in death by her parent, Ervin and Irene Fischer.

She leaves behind her loving husband Eldon of Sidney, NE; her son Michael of Pine Bluffs, WY and his three children: Kiana, Keira, and Ashton; two brothers: Dale and wife Shirley Fischer of Tucson, AZ and Wayne and Wife Linda Fischer of Sidney, NE; two sisters: Wanda and husband Dave Harcourt of Rapid City, SD and Kathy and husband Bill Kerbel of Ft. Wayne, IN; three sister-in-laws: Darlene Rexus of Torrington, WY, Donnita Rennick of Casper, WY and Rose Mary Jenkins of Wheatland, WY; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a group of very close friends.
